General information

The Directorate's responsibilities include conducting mandatory legal review of draft resolutions of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus, coordinating draft laws of the Republic of Belarus and acts of the President of the Republic of Belarus, as well as ensuring mandatory legal review of regulatory legal acts of state bodies and organizations subordinate to the President of the Republic of Belarus, ministries, other republican government bodies, regional and the Minsk City Council of Deputies, regional executive committees, and the Minsk City Executive Committee, which regulate the following issues:

• supplies, including the supply of goods for state needs;
• transportation and freight forwarding;
• budget legislation;
• tax legislation;
• procedure for the use of cash registers and other equipment when accepting means of payment;
• accounting, accounting, and/or financial reporting;
• activities subject to the exclusive right of the state;
• state needs and government procurement;
• procurement legislation;
• antimonopoly legislation;
• legislation on natural monopolies;
• Legislation on prices and pricing;
• consumer protection (except for consumer protection of housing and communal services);
• labeling of goods with standardized control marks or identification means;
• legislation in the field of trade and public catering;
• legislation on commodity exchanges;
• transport legislation;
• communications legislation;
• advertising legislation.
